A “program” is a planned interaction between the library staff and the program participants, or a third party, such as a presenter or speaker, enlisted by the Director for
the purpose of promoting library materials, facilities, or services, as well as offering the
community an informational, entertaining, or cultural experience. Programming includes such activities as story times, movies, summer reading program for children and their families, speakers, and book discussion groups for adults. The library director, in conjunction with the library board, will establish a budget and goals for programming to facilitate the effective implementation of this service.
