Agnes Robinson Waterloo Public Library is seeking applicants to fill two Trustee positions, one being the alternate position, on the Library Board. Interested candidates should contact the librarians before the deadline on September 8, 2019.
The Trustee positions include two 3-year term positions and an alternate 1-year term position.
Library Board Trustees attend all meetings and help to establish policies and long-term goals for the library; promote and advocate for the library in the community; and advocate for the community as a member of the Library Board.
Trustee candidates must be current Library users who have an abiding interest in the Library and the community and reside within the Village of Waterloo and are also eligible to vote in local Village elections. All Library Trustees serve without compensation.
Regular meetings of the board shall be held every other Monday beginning in January.
After review of the eligible candidates by the Library Board and the Director, a recommendation to fill the positions will be submitted to the Village Board for appointment.
