What hours is the library open?
The library’s limited hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: 10 a.m. – 12: p.m., 1:00 p.m. – 5 p.m., and Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The library’s digital collection of ebooks and audiobooks is available 24/7 in the Libby app. Our free, public Wi-Fi is accessible from the library parking lot 24/7.
Are masks required to enter the library?
Masks are recommended and appreciated, but not required.
How long can my library visit be?
Please limit your library visit to 30 minutes per day. Our Grab & Go services include browsing our collections, checking out materials, picking up holds, returning materials in the outdoor book return, print/copy/scan/fax, and using the computer.
Can children enter the library at this time?
All ages can enter the library. Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of their visit.
Is the library continuing Curbside Pickup in addition to being open to the public?
Yes, the library is offering Curbside Pickup for books and movies for those who are uncomfortable entering the building. Curbside Pickup hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Can I donate books to the library?
We are currently not accepting book donations at this time due to space and sanitation concerns. Please do not bring book donations to the library or put them in the book return.
Will the library offer in-person story times and other programs, like the Halloween Costume Contest?
There will be no in-person programming for the remainder of 2020. All holiday parties, story times, and other in-person events are canceled.
Now that the library is open, may I rent the meeting room for a meeting or gathering?
No, the meeting room is not available for rent or use at this time.
Are library items cleaned once they are returned?
Yes, library staff sanitize and quarantine all returned items for at least 48 hours before checking them in and re-shelving the items. This is why items you returned may still be on your account a couple days after you returned them.
How should I return my library books?
Please return library books and movies in the outdoor book return in our parking lot.

How do I sign up for a library card?
Please fill out this form to sign up for a library card. You will receive an email once we approve your request on our end. Your library card membership can be used to check out physical items from the library, or digital items like ebooks and audiobooks using the Libby app.
I returned my library materials – why are they still on my account?
Library staff sanitize and quarantine all returned items for at least 48 hours before being checked in. The items you returned may still be in quarantine and have not been checked in yet. You will not accrue any fines or late fees for items that are in quarantine (or ever!).
Can I place holds on items at this time?
Yes! Please call or email the library, or place a hold using our online catalog. Let us know if you would prefer to pick up your items on our outdoor Curbside Pickup cart, or if you’d like to stop in the library to pick up your holds.
May I place an Interlibrary Loan for an item the library doesn’t have?
We are not borrowing items through ILL at this time. Please check to see if the Valley Public Library or Omaha Public Library have the item you are looking for.
